Ranking of Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) franchises provides a degree of insight for prospective franchisees considering acquiring a QSR franchise, provided that they properly understand the methodology that is being used to rank those franchises, such that you have an understanding those franchise systems that are ranked by the particular organization. In this particular instance, we have drawn upon the Elite Franchise Canada Top 100 (EF100) annual ranking of Canadian franchisors, with their stated criteria drawing upon their success, innovation, and contribution to the industry (relying upon specific metrics).

Naturally, there are some major Canadian franchise systems that are missing from this ranking, with the most prominent absentee being Tim Horton's, with the rationale for many absentees often being tied to not commercial engaging the provider of the rankings on a commercial basis. As such, it is important to recognize that these rankings are constrained by the notable exceptions, including Chick-Fil-A, Tim Horton's, Starbucks, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Wendy's, Domino's Pizza, Subway, and Panda Express, among others, such that it is important to appreciate the methodology of any ranking system
